Start your scholarship search. You can get a scholarship for all sorts of things, even if you have less than stellar grades. Make a goal to research and select 5 of these by the end of the year that you’ll apply for later.

Upcoming:

Explore your strengths. What are your best subjects and which are you most interested in? Look into AP (Advanced Placement) or IB (International Baccalaureate) classes for junior year, whether they are available at your school or online.

June

Take stock. Unless you’re in advanced math, you probably won’t be ready for the SAT or ACT until next year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t check them out now. Try out our SAT vs. ACT Quiz to get a sense of which test might be a better fit.
