This month:

April

Schedule senior year. The classes you take next year still matter, especially for college credit. Make sure your course load is strong and that you do well on your APs next month.

Upcoming:

May

Which score? If you’ve taken both the SAT and ACT (or a practice test), you can begin to compare these scores using the official concordance table. This will give you an idea of which scores to send to colleges.

June

Start writing. More than any other part of the application, the admissions essay gives you the chance to brag about yourself and show who you are. You’ll need to write many drafts and make lots of revisions as you go, so start early.
